I think your thoughts on Metal are right on. The same thing can be said for the Stranger -que no? I recall only one metal piece about Slayer in the Stranger years ago- it was about the bands' dedicated fans and it was quite good. For the most part the S's music section covers mopey white guy music-not that there is anything wrong with that- but other than mocking metal, like Grandy's recent hilarious post about Black metal poses- the Stranger never writes reviews about metal. I havent read anything about bands like Mostadon or Lacuna Coil or any other decent metal bands. Same can be said for your coverage of Rap, though you do a great job covering Hip Hop and Mizell's colum is off da hook, very little is written about rap-the music of the black under class. Im not trying to start anything, just an observation.

Josh, it is almost startling to see how much your writing has degraded over the years. That piece from Cake is almost comprehensible.

StrangerDanger @8,
It's amazing how much your value system has degraded over the years. I've heard you left public service for real estate development.

Are you sure the person you met works at the P-I? There are other businesses with the same 448 phone number as the P-I ... and some home phone numbers as well. Just curious ...

Why was this posted on Sunday and now on Monday?

It was boring the first time you posted it.

John Feet: When you quote yourself, do stand in front of a big globe in your stately drawing room just like Commander McBragg?
