I wondered why people were so pissed about the use of the word supposedly. I've never seen Blu-ray played next to DVD, so I can't say if the quality is that much better or not. I've just been told that it is. But I've also been told it's a pointless technology in the long run. Hence the supposedly.

Blue Ray requires a Blue Ray player and Hi Def TV. If you don't own a hi-def TV (I myself am waiting for them to be less than $500 for the equivalent of a 31" TV) then you are forgiven to know that they are better than standard TV.

Why not notify the police (who would seem to be the proper authorities for this situation)? Is Silver Platters hiding something from the SPD? Are they planning some vigilante action?

Though, fyi, property crimes of items totalling over $500 constitutes felony theft.

Unless you have a witness/witnesses, or an otherwise ironclad case, you have to do the legwork yourself and submit it to the SPD. You compile lists of items stolen, pictures, drawings, etc, as well as submitting accounts of occurrances related to the crime to your assigned detective. You get a file going and if something happens or breaks in your case, you have already submitted some 'weight of evidence' that will help you in court.

@15: You could notify the cops, but if you notify Mike and/or Justin, they'll get in contact with the detectives who are handling their case. They'd be happy either way, I think. That's just what Mike recommended to do when I asked him who people should contact should they have more info. Silver Platters is not hiding anything. The police are on it.
