However, I am giving Bethany the benefit of the doubt that the owners of the Volunteer Park Cafe weren't fawning over her because she was a restaurant reviewer, but by considering the amount of food that Bethany describes, she must be now considered a regular at the VPC.

I have been to many places in Seattle where the staff spend a lot of time chatting up their regulars and all virtually ignoring their new customers.

Though I am curious how Kinkos knew the patron was a food reviewer or if it was just a guess.
