What the hell?? So you guide the M's to two losing seasons, and when they're finally having a good season and are in playoff contention, you bail halfway through and jeopardize the remainder of the season. Thanks, jerk.

I have a crazy idea. The Mariners need to win the World Series or they have to pay us back for the $500 Million that we spent on that damn stadium. Anyone with me?

i'm in shock! i can't believe he would leave during a hot streak. we're only four behind the angels, we're going on 7 straight (hopefully 8 after today, but shit...who knows with this shit weighing on thier minds)

wtf?!?! I for the record always liked hargrove. it was bavasi i reserve my venom for.

jesus bavasi! does the mariners medical plan not cover prozac? can we not get grover a prescription, like, soon!

I was shocked when the news broke.

I'm starting to wonder if the actual reasons for departure were different than the stated reasons. It's no secret that many in the org, including several players, including our beloved Ichiro, did not like the guy, despite the public support.

I always liked Hargrove, if simply for having 35 years in the game. Jesus, that's a lot of baseball.

Is there ever a good time? He sees the team back to winning ways on an up season. He's just being a real person here, confronting the rigors of a demanding lifestyle.

It's up to everyone left standing to do a good job and keep it going. If they appreciate Hargrove's efforts and strength of his career, they will.

I think he's depressed and in treatment. Seriously. I didn't much like the way he managed, but he did some things very, very well, like using Putz intelligently, and contrary to "the book". I wish him well, and I hope he changes his mind and is back in baseball next year.

8 in a row. Mariners sweep AL East.

Its either depression or cancer. I dont think a seasoned veteran like Hargrove would leave in the middle of what could be the begining of a penant run.

He better have a good reason (sickness or marital issues), or else he's just a pathetic quitter.
