I hope they're not planning on campaigning to win. If so, this was a very bad idea.

So, let me get this straight, they're going to force me, as a Seattle taxpayer, to pay more than $5 million for extra police, shut down I-90 and I-5, and disrupt an entire day just so a Red Bushie can steal money from insane rich people who don't even LIVE in Seattle?

That doesn't sound fair.

Support president bush and our troops. Seattle is full of too many liberal ignorant idiots that would apparantly rather have a war on our soil. Keep voting democratic if you want terrorists and illegal aliens to take over our home land. WAKE UP seattle, get your heads out of your ass.

Will, no one in seattle is asking for you to pay 5 million dollars for anything. Maybe you should get your head out of your ass and learn what it means to be a proud american instead of a bitchy liberal piece of shit....

PS Can't you Bush/War supporters make any comments that aren't just 2nd grade name calling?

I would have to agree with Proud American. But, Ms./Mrs. Cantrell you make a valid point as well about the 2nd grade name calling. We, as supporters of our President, are just a little tired of all of the name calling and protesting as well. Typically, the American public, once frustrated, has the tendency to just fire back when offended. But as a troop myself, I can tell you that it is real demoralizing to see protesters. Even though your intensions might be good to protest the war, it really does take a toll on us troops. We feel that the job that we do is not good enough for all of the protesters and commonly will take offense. Ma'am I'm pretty sure you know that freedom is not free, it has a price. That price I am willing to pay for you, all I ask is that you put down your signs, pick up a pen, and write to your defenders over seas. And writing anti-war propaganda is definitely not recommended. We NEED the support of the AMERICAN PUBLIC!!!!!! Words of encouragement. We NEED to know that we are supported. We have already proved our self-lessness towards you, now please show us yours. Put your personal opinion to the side and support us!!!! Protesting the war is not going to end it. Only cause termole between Americans. My opinion and it is just that, my opinion is that the terrorist are WINNING!! Not by killing our troops though, by killing our UNITY!!!! Our Pledge of Allegiance states, "Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." So are we wrong for trying to up keep to that? I really don't think so. Good things are coming out Iraq, more then the news channels portray. I want you to think about something, War is not warranted, nor is a pretty thing. But to live the life that we Americans live, sometimes is necessary. I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and apologize for any grammatical errors. I never claimed to be an English major. SEMPER FIDELIS "Always Faithful"

Protests must be massive and forceful. We must shut down downtown Bellevue. There should be a massive "die-in" on the streets leading to the Hyatt before bush arrives. We must impead his mobility and make it difficult or impossible for him to attend this event, or at least make it so that he actually knows there is resistance to his Fascist movement in this country. Downtown Bellevue should be plastered with banners that say
"Bush murders troops!"
"Fundraiser for genocide"
"Bush + bin Laden = Theocracy"
Enough of being herded about by the police state. We must protest for real, as is (was) our constituional right.
