Apocalypse … Um, Now?

posted by on July 2 at 15:51 PM

Can someone smarter/more patient than me explain this site? (Note: this appears to be perfectly safe for work, but, then again, I only got as far as the second weird Hellraiser orb puzzle thingy.)

As God is my witness, I don't know.

I'm fairly confident that when you hold your pointer over the right-hand star you're looking at characters equivalent to each character of the alphabet.

Either a movie or a game coming out August 1st? Some answers below are what I found after clicking around on that page for a couple minutes... I've transcribed the video, too.

You gotta memorize the pattern and click on the triangles to bring up a video.

"My name is Van. I have the writings of Ethan Haas here. I thought it was just some old story but then it began to sound like he actually had seen the future. Everything up to know has happened exactly as he said it would. And then there's his predictions of the future. So many people die.

If you were able to find this message, you're one of us so you must know what needs to be done. But to be sure, I have to test you. You need to find others to help us stop them. You must send them here to prove that they're one of us. We've already started but we're not strong enough yet.

You only have til August first to prepare. Now press pause for the answer."

If you click on the left star an email pops up with the subject line "I'm one of you...help me!" and it is to be sent to van@ethanhaaswasright.com

I still haven't figured out the code on the orb as far as moving the two lines and the ring around. I'm not sure what has to be matched up. Something to do with the code that pops up when you click on the right star. Maybe you have to spell out EthanHaaswas right or something.

I'm not a gamer. I can't even beat Super Mario Bros. I'm just a girl who is bored at work :)

there are a total of 5 puzzles, with Van Mantra's videos accompanying each solved puzzle, the puzzles are extremely difficult but they are solvable
