The "accidental election of a George-Bush wanna"? Stephen Harper is not nearly as bad as W, and I'm not sure how his election could be construed as accidental.

A recent article in a national paper revealed that the majority of same-sex marriage licenses given out in Canada are actually to American and overseas couples ... which prompted a letter immediately asking why we're helping foreign gays, the outrage!

Stephen, I believe it was Dan's intent to say "wannabe". I'm sorry if that was difficult to understand.

"...when we’re still arguing a about “activist judges” and “traditional values” down here in the states."

By then, we will also be leaving the country to anywhere else in the world where cures for almost anything will be expensively available, thanks to stem cell provided remedies.

I'm sure the right-to-lifers will be battling for the available "treatment flights" to S Korea, England, France, etc.

What will happen in America first? gay Marriage in all 50 states? Or legalizing pot for recreational use?

That does it. Time to move to Canada.

I'd say that we'll have a Loving v. Virginia style ruling in about 30 years if history is any guide.

Legalizing MJ is highly unlikely at all given all of the puritanical, hypocritical hysteria regarding its use. About a third of the country will need to be raptured to see some real change and progress on this front since they seem to be devoted to policy and wrong-wing ideology no matter how much it fails.

Canadians have a superiority complex because they're superior.

Yes, accidental election. Canadians elected Harper's government because they were knee-jerk reacting to what amounts to a non-scandal by American standards.

Once the conservatives were in office everyone was like "oh shit, we kinda fucked up here." Now it's basically all four federal parties on a four-sided teeter-totter trying to knock the other guys off. Good times.
