Dane Cook is a comedian. I've seen his work...it's not unfunny, but it's not my kind of humor. He's mostly a storyteller of the "can you believe I'm saying this out loud" variety. Aimed at the 14-22/frat crowd. Not "Jackass" or anything (he's not mean, I dont' think).

That poster was totally photoshopped. Most posters are terrible.

Argh!

I had been on a complete Dane Cook fast until now, allowing no image of or reference to him to enter my brain -- sort of like Lent only giving up something I absolutely despise rather than something I like. It was a wonderful three days while it lasted, and fuck is it ever hard to avoid that no-talent dipshit.

One of the things that I just can't stand about his comedy routines is all of the overenunciated non-jokes that he tells. Things like:

Dane Cook: Okay, so here's the situation, the Sitch-You-Way-She-Own...

[audience laughs]

I mean, WHAT IN THE FUCK IS FUNNY ABOUT THAT? He's either passing joints out before he starts his show or he's packed the audience with mental patients and head injury victims. Those are the only good reasons for laughing at his shit.
