Who’s Jake Gyllenhaal?

One of my original childhood crushes is returning to the big screen next summer and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Welcome back, Indiana.

Eww. I don't know how anyone could get it up for that saggy old man.

Anyone want to put money on whether or not they'll always light Indy from the back, and or put vaseline on the lense?

(Looks like they already did a little of the the latter in the publicity still)

Maybe if he'd play in a decent movie again, I'd come around to finding him attractive (again). It's been over a fucking decade.

I will be interested in seeing if the story will be taking place in the early 60s since The Last Crusade took place during World War Two.

Who cares if he's old?! Harrison Ford/Indiana Jones is still bad ass!! I'm with you on this one Megan!! Ironically, me and Hickey have been talking about this all day!!

Raiders was really the only great Indiana movie, anyway. I have no doubt that Indiana 4 will be dreadful.

The funny thing for me is I know exactly what he'll look like - he looks and sounds like my dad at a slightly younger age, so I find it kind of amusing.

The first few movies it was very weird, having someone on the screen with my dad's voice who looked so much like what he used to look like. Now I'm used to it.

I can't help but find him hot even though it makes me feel kind of icky.

Ford reminds me of my dad at his age. In Regarding Henry his character* was practically a doppelganger for my father while I was a child.

@7

I concur, but you have to love them all for the camp value, you know?

Damn, I miss Han.

No. Not really. But I respect your taste.

Harrison is still very nice, but I won't be forgetting the sexy, talented Jake Gyllenhaal! One of the best actors today. LOVE him!!

That photo does not bode well for the movie. I hope they don't pretend he is younger than he is.

I loved Indy as a kid (hell I even loved the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, and they were only half good). But thinking back as an adult all that cartoon violence was pretty bad - shooting an arab swordsman - hahaha. Bullet goes through four Nazi goons - hahaha.

But, I'll probably see it anyway since the man with the had still subtly hold my subconscious in his orbit.

I totally loved Raiders of the Lost Ark. I must have watched it a dozen times, in the theater. It played in one big theater for over a year near where I lived in California at the time. And yes, Harrison Ford was hot... 25 years ago.

Sadly, the two sequels were mostly disappointing, as most sequels are. I hold out little hope for Indiana Jones IV. Apparently it is scripted by George Lucas, who is notorious for writing terrible dialog. I hope they shift the story forward in time. If they try to make the now 65-ish year old Harrison Ford portray a still 40-ish year old Indiana Jones, the movie is doomed. He's looking well for his age, but he can't pull off 40, no matter how much makeup and soft focus they use.

He looks the man of a thousand years and wise because of it. If its chiseled features your looking for Harrison Ford makes the cut. He doesn't have the double chin like some actors his age are sportin.
James Cagney aged well, and since the 30s(when he was younger he played Public Enemy but he looked 30-40 in the latter part of the story, and younger in the earlier part., he hammed it up so to speak.
I hope in Indiana Jones 4 he does the same, because thats what made those movies great, the slapstick along with the mystery, the adventure and the violence.

wait what am I saying. I looked at the picture and what does Ford injustice is his cheeks have that fold. Is that the turn off for the fountain of youth followers? They are getting quite large, like Alfred Hitchcocks, or Winston Churchill. They'll start to look like jowels, and droop.
