Where Will You Be?

posted by on June 7 at 15:36 PM

Look, my computer died, so I’m on borrowed time on a borrowed machine. Please forgive this this subpar slog on a matter of supreme importance.

NBA Finals. Game 1. Tonight. 6 p.m. Stone Buddha vs. King James.

Truth be told, I’m not all that interested in this series. Since the Western Conference Semifinals, the playoffs have brought me little more than heartache and the sound of my own stupid, hollow self-reassurances about next year. Still, I will watch every game. And I will root for the Cavs. It’s not going to be easy, but I like what LeBron has to say for for his team—no logic, no talk of fundamentals, just this: “It’s our time.”

And oh yeah, fuck the Spurs.

I lived in San Antonio for a spell, and the townsfolk sure loved their Spurs.

Also, fun fact: I never once visited the Alamo the entire time I lived there. I passed it a couple times but never went in to visit. I can't even recall where exactly it was.

Spurs in 6 unless the refs use The Jordan Rules with Lebron and make sure to put Bowen and Duncan on the bench with foul trouble. The refs do dictate who wins and loses, after all.

I dont wanna hear any more crap about how the Spurs play the game the way its suppose to be played, I dont wanna hear any more crap about their tool of a coach and how he put this 2gether, about how unselfish and how real they are. I want Lebron's footprint on Manu Ginobli's face. I hate the fact that as a Latino I dispise Manu who is Argentino, but despise him I do. I want to see him crushed under Lebron's size 16 shoe. I hate Tim Duncan's faux humbleness and I hate when goofy ex sonic has been Barry comes off the bench and think he is all that.

Unfortunately the Spurs in 5.

If Lebron's foot gets within 3 feet of Manu's grill the entire Spurs team will probably flop to the floor.

If there is any justice in this cruel world Lebron will take the Spurs behind the woodshed!

Garbes,

I'll be at the spot for the fourth quarter.
I'm for the Spurs.

This is the same Slog that rooted for the Golden State Warriors, huh? You can tell. The Spurs stomped all over the Cavs, and won without too many problems. They also made Lebron James look utterly pedestrian.

I'm all for the Spurs. You don't think they "play the game the right way"? Maybe not, but they sure play it well enough to be title contenders for the past 10 years. Spurs in five.
