Would be interesting to do this for other things as well. For example, I remember the Kerry quote during the 2004 campaign about how Missouri's military commitment was bigger than Great Britain's. If the military were divided between states on the basis of enlistments by state or something, would Texas have bigger armed forces than Russia?
