"In 1988, Szwaja was arrested for failing to cover $2,584 in costs that he said were associated with his son's birth and medical complications."

In Wisconsin they put you in jail for not paying your hospital bill?

WHO?

That I know more about Stan freaking Lippman than this guy indicates to me how much of a chance he has in the first place.

After this, he better have one hell of an awesome platform.

The real race this season is between the Greens, Libertarians, and LaRouchies to see who can be the most crazy.

Let Lyndon Debate, Let Lyndon Debate...

Crazy stuff, but you've got to admit that "Plate-Throwin' Joe" is an excellent political nickname.

You know you've got a great campaign when it's all but over on the 3rd day of your candidacy.

I love the balls of this guy to run with this kind of criminal record in his past. What was he thinking??

And what is with wife/girlfriend beaters and the City Council?

You know, I'm not going to vote for this guy, but I'm not a big fan of the notion that says if you've ever done anything wrong in your life you should be forced to live in a labor camp for the rest of your life either. I don't know the details of this 15-year-old trouble, and neither do any of you. Just because he had problems with the law once doesn't mean he can't be a good citizen now. I've been through some awful crap before myself (no DV, though), but that shouldn't keep me off the Council.

My personality and opinions should!
