In response to the cute (but unhealthy) fat dog pic, may I recommend a new product made by the company I ruefully work for?
Slentrol, First Medication to Combat Canine Obesity, Now Available by Prescription
Pfizer Launches BARC – Body Assessment Rating for Canines
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Pfizer Animal Health (NYSE: PFE) today announced that SLENTROL™ (dirlotapide), the first and only FDA-approved veterinary medication for the management of canine obesity, is now available by prescription in the United States.
Slentrol was developed in response to the unmet need for a medication to help veterinarians and pet owners better manage canine obesity, an important medical condition that can lead to serious health consequences. An estimated 25 to 40 percent of dogs in the U.S. (about 17 million) are overweight or obese.
Is that a dog or a bear?
Apparently the dog SWALLOWED a bear... whole!
thats a malmute. it's supposed to be that big.
God, that annoys me. It's one thing to stuff yourself full of food. It feels good and it can be uncomfortable to deprive yourself. I even understand, to a point, why parents overfeed their children. The little buggers can be awfully insistent, but is it really necessary to overfeed our pets as well?
that dog needs to get to a vet. Quick!
That's not a malamute, and it's not "supposed" to be that big. The poor dog's owners should be ground up into pet food.
But what will that poor malamute do without owners?
As a fellow corgi owner, I'm utterly appalled by that dog. All dogs are gluttons, and corgis are among the worst, which is why a strictly controlled diet and an hour of exercise are necessary every day. Well, that goes for all the fat humans I know too, but at least its only themselves that they're killing.
