Religion Thou Shalt Not Call ‘Shotgun’ Before Thou Can See The Automobile In Question

onAnd, lo, Pope Ratzi returned from the mountain with the ten commandments for drivers. And they were…nothing that you haven’t already heard in driver’s ed class. It’s nice to see the Catholic Church acknowledging the existence of cars, though. Maybe in forty years, they’ll finally accept that there’s such a thing as a latex condom.

I, too, thought this spoke to how behind the times the Catholic Church is. It also shows how religious leaders often feel that without their guidance, no one would know how to act morally and responsibly.
i agree, cori.
then again, we have to consider laws here to do some of the same things (drunk driving, road rage, and maybe cell phones?) because some people apparently don't know how to act morally and responsibly while driving...
Fight the influence of the church on traffic laws! Never give way to the right!
May any praying be...hands free. Ba dum pum.
You have a point, infrequent...it just really gets my back up whenever anyone suggests that religion or faith is the arbiter of everything moral and right, and if you don't have God guiding you in every aspect of your life (including on the road), you couldn't behave morally if you tried.
