It's weird to read articles like that about people who used to work with you.

yeah, in general, it's best to stay away, far away, from any sexy talk with the 18 and under set... did he really think that such bukake inspired poems as /Love soaked bodies/like pound-cake/dunked in milk/
saturated/to the surrender point
would be a'rite with the school, girls, parents? sheesh dude, no wonder he got fired.

the story, the players, and the coach all annoyed me by the time i was done reading it.

not as much as the poety annoyed me, though.

he should have known better than to read some pg-13 bad (and not in the least sexy) poetry to high school students who clearly cannot handle such coarse language.

on the bright side, coach probably just said he was glad they felt empowered to fire him, and that it was a life learning experience for all.

I really like this Huan Hsu guy. He makes the Seattle Weekly interesting, even if it's for BIZARRE reasons. He's one more crazy article away from seattlenotables.com.

When I first read the beginning of the article last week, I started counting down the moments until the coach was fired. I just can't believe it took this long.

Would it have been a different outcome had the coach been female? Not sure, but something tells me it would also depend on her orientation.

Ask a Mexican is the best thing about the Weekly, and half the time they only run it in their online edition. Screw them: Ever since I discovered I can find the latest Tom Tomorrow cartoon on the Intarweb I don't even grab a Weekly any more.
