The Morning News

posted by on June 21 at 7:30 AM

The Blair Rehab Project: Middle East peace envoy.

Pass the Hamas: From Gaza to the West Bank.

Hillaryland: Where the advisers never change.

What it takes to be independent: Two years.

How long it takes not to fix New Orleans: Two years.

Sand: More dangerous than sharks.

Murdoch they wrote: Rumors of a big NYT story in the works.

Not drunk, just out of breath: The French president.

Obama wins: The Politico straw poll.

And for the birthday boy, who told me last night at Smith that my morning news posts would be better with a pretty picture:

Is the whole Chris Crocker thing a hoax? Is he secretly going to pop out in the Seattle scene soon?

I can't imagine with all of the interest he holds that it would be very hard for him to get out. In the previous post, there were tons of people offering to actually PAY FOR HIS FLIGHT.

Let Chris know, Seattle wants him here!

that Hillary link -- tons of women in charge -- being tough and disciplined and organized and prepared and focused. Cool. Looks competent.

Presidential in fact.

Doubtless, Hillary will put tons of women in positions of power.

If my last name is Smith - do I get to drink for free?

Also, that cake looks awesome.

So digging a hole in the sand at the beach, getting in, and having it collapse on you has killed twenty or thirty people in the world since 1985? Statistically speaking, isn't that pretty much the same as "no people?"

So YOU'RE the reason Smith was packed to the rafters last night.

Thank goodness for The Canterbury: it's NEVER packed in there, just as dark and gloomy, and while they may not have poutine, they still give you a plate of fries bigger than your head.

Hillary IS going to be the nominee. She's the only Dem with the experience and appeal to all democrats to win it. Why don't you Obama folks just recognize that and call it a day?

On the other hand, delicious cake seems to have distracted me from morning news.

I like Hillary, but a Hillary/Obama ticket would be even better.
