I love how republicans talk about the Democrats expanding the government and adding "25-30% more taxes". Yes, because Bushy the 2nd who increased the federal government more than any president in the last 5 decades is so fiscally conservative? Oh yeah, that's right, because he never increased taxes, he just increased the government on borrowed money. That is a sound finanical way to handle the countries resources. Why the fuck won't the democrats talk about how much Bush has expanded the government?

And of course Clinton, who decreased the federal government and military is bad because he was "looking for private ways to deal with America's problems". But that was bad too, right Republicans? WTF????

I also love how Rudy got 640,000 people off welfare: lowering the max amount of money you could make on the program, and also giving stricter time limits. So now, the poor make even less money and have no access to services they need cause they make "too much money".

Fuck I could go on, but its like preaching to the choir of people who aren't running for office.

Didn't Clinton bomb Afghanistan and Sudan in 1998 as retaliation for Khobar, Tanzania and Kenya? And wasn't he accused of wagging the dog by Republicans?

It was Blow Job Outrage that caused 9/11.

The harder Rudy campaigns, the more full of shit he is revealed to be. He doesn't have a figment of an idea about anything; he's a considerably less serious candidate than George W. Bush, and will make a considerably worse President. Suck on that for a minute.

Kenya happened as the Republican Congress was thinking they had a blank check of tax dollars and time on cspan fillibustering adnauseum on the president's penis... Clinton was unnecessarily preoccupied with legal issues that in hindsight could have used more attention... especially considering it was a US Embassy (ie: American soil abroad) that was taken out.

I have nothing to say. That being said, I've had something to say.

Giuliani is an opportunistic carpetbagger.
He's still feeding on those poor 9/11 corpses.

What a gasbag, and with the nasty temperament of a feral dog as well.

It does not matter, this is all a show.
The real rulers have already named our next president.

So sit back and enjoy the antics.

Rudy Giuliani told ABC's Peter Jennings on September 11, 2001, that he and his staff were warned ahead of time that WTC twin towers were going to fall.

Giuliani said:

I went down to the scene and we set up, uh, headquarters at 75 Barkley Street, which was right there with the police commissioner and the fire commissioner, the head of emergency management. And we were operating out of there when we were told that the World Trade Center was gonna collapse.

the ABC interview:

Last month, Giuliani was confronted by a young lady who said she was family of a WTC collapse victim and wanted to know why, since as he reported to Peter Jennings, he knew the towers were going to collapse, the people inside weren't notified, and who else knew about this.

Giuliani responded:

The fact is, uh, I didn't know the towers would collapse."

At the press conference after a recent Republican presedential debate, freelance reporter Matt Lepacek -- with press pass -- asked Giuliani's representative about his foreknowlege of the towers' collapse. The man refused to answer, ridiculed the reporter, and had the police forcibly remove the reporter from the press conference and arrest him for trespassing.

video of the questioning and police involvement:

video of the reporter, after arrest and release, speaking to other reporters (notable: 1. other reporters were warned not to ask any more questions related to 9/11, 2. reporter was roughed up and had his camera broken by some combination of police and secret service):

A Presidential candidate's staff had police remove and arrest a reporter at a press conference in order to avoid answering that reporter's questions about the candidate's contradictory public statements about his foreknowledge of an otherwise-unexpected disaster that resulted in the deaths of several thousand people. And the rest of our "free press" didn't find this newsworthy.

Factual? How so? When the Clinton team handed over to Bush and Co., they specifically warned them about Al Qaeda. All the intelligence about Khobar Towers and the Cole and so on was right there; heck, it was in the New York Times. Bush wasn't interested. And the war in Iraq? Yes, it is lost, and it's not lost because Harry Goddamn Reid wanted it to happen. Harry Reid didn't have a damn thing to do with what's happened in Iraq. And Rudy is wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong on the facts, wrong on the spirit, wrong in his innermost emotional resonances. He's a toilet brush masquerading as a statesman.

rudy and company are practicing classic "shoot the messenger" tactics. When Harry Reid, or anyone else points out the FACT that the war is lost, we are supposed to blame them for it? Logic has never been a strength of republicans, but good grief, this is getting comical.

I love how Giuliani's illogic only produced more lefty illogic in the comments here.

Giuliani's comment was stupid, but c'mon, people. It wasn't an invitation to show us your personal brands of stupid.

We right wingers are laughing at all you Democrats.
It works everytime.
We tell our candidates to say the most outrageous shit and all you do is blog back. None of your candidates attack us!
We tell these outright lies and stupidities:
1. nothing was done about terrorists when Clinton was in office
2. Iraq had something to do with Al Queda
3. staying in Iraq is an effective way to fight the potential for terrorism
4. retreat = surrender = treason(winners are smart and retreat when warrranted).
5. we have to subvert the constitution to be safe, we are not playing politics with the constitution, you Democrats are. You Democrats want to surrender, to lose, to help Al Queda, you are guilty of crminal treason.

If Democrats don't mount a full fledged attack by calling Republicans treasonous liars, we right wingers will win. Because the Democrats clearly are afraid to tell the truth. They are afraid to "make people scared". But people should be scared. Of us!!
If they don't make people scared of the truth, we can win by making people scared of things that are false. It's easy to win when your opponent gives up without fighting.

Rudolph Giuliani is a racist pig.

My roommate in college worked in his law office while he was running for mayor. She is a person of color (irrelevant, but it does speak to the blatancy of his racism), and she heard him on multiple occasions ranting into the phone about Mayor Dinkins, referring to him as "the [n-word]." He did not care at all that she was in the room as he said this.

You think your government is up your ass now? You don't want to live in Giuliani's police state. For a good account of all his "cleaning up" of New York City, read this article.

17. Giuliani has certainly spearheaded some piggish move, but the writing in that article makes Eat The State look like the New York Times. For all I know, the writer made half of those things up.

Under Clinton, we captured, tried, convicted and sent to prison for life all the conspirators in the first WTC attack from the mastermind on down.

Hardly "nothing".
