It's Angry.

Posted by Dave Coffman | June 13, 2007 12:46 AM

It's not just red.

It's red, white and blue...

The colors of America.
The colors of France.

Showing once again, the never ending friendship forged between our two countries ever since the days of General Lafayette...

...or because Air France has started direct flights from Paris to SeaTac.

pg--And Qwest Field is pink because it has breast cancer...or something like that.

'merica, FUCK YEAH!

I liked the angry explanation better. I had thoughts of it breaking loose from its base, and going on a rampage through downtown Seattle, shooting death rays from the observation deck.

Revolving restaurant is now a gun turret.

If it's the Air France thing, I'm going to puke. (even though I like France).

If the Space Needle doesn't fly a Pride flag on Pride day, I think we should complain.

It's Air France's celebration of Seattle to Paris non-stop flights! Now GET BACK TO WORK!

Posted by Your Boss | June 13, 2007 8:39 AM

I will get back to work if beer will be made available.

Posted by Mr. Poe | June 13, 2007 8:51 AM

Will somebody post a picture? I'm way over in Minnesota.

Posted by sniggles | June 13, 2007 9:12 AM

Where in Minnesota?! I grew up in Wayzata! Home of the worst (of the worst)!

Posted by Mr. Poe | June 13, 2007 9:26 AM

My employer moved me to White Bear Lake about two years ago- still fighting to get back home to Seattle.

Posted by sniggles | June 13, 2007 9:47 AM

No way, ANOTHER Minnesota reader? I thought I was alone.

Posted by Hannah | June 13, 2007 10:06 AM

This site is swarming with 'sotans. This one lives in Seattle, tho.

Posted by Dod | June 13, 2007 10:14 AM

I took some photos last night but was too drunk to figure out how to upload them... now they're at home. It's better in your imagination, anyway.

WHY doesn't the Space Needle web site post decoders for their colored-lights, illegible banners, etc. antics? Dumb.

So it's not for Flag Day?

Posted by matt | June 13, 2007 10:26 AM

Vive la France!

Tout le monde est en celebration!

... or maybe they're early for Canada Day?

Posted by Will in Seattle | June 13, 2007 11:00 AM

Flag day is tomorrow... I have a view of the needle from my bedroom and I woke up several times last night and I "thought" I saw different colors, but I also thought I was in a dream. So thanks for posting this Slog so I know that I am sane, and was not dreaming (we won't talk about last week when I jumped out of bed because I thought I felt a 6.0 earthquake and I stayed up for 2 hours watching TV to see if someone said anything about it).

I'm another MN-otan. There are tons of us here in Seattle. Who wouldn't move?

Posted by Tiz | June 13, 2007 11:58 AM
