City re: Eating and Working and What Should I Do?

onAs has been said and seconded in the comments to your post, Megan, the place to eat and work (and what should you do?) is Cafe Presse. Beyond Christopher’s love for their record selection and Bethany’s reasoning that it’s “so cheap, you can’t afford to eat anywhere else”, there is also the matter of seeing and being seen. Today Presse was host to Club Pop’s Michael Yuasa and myself, Kerri Harrop and Mark Mitchell, and the Stranger’s own diligent slogger (possibly also an arts critic?) Jen Graves.

I'm afraid to go there.
I'm afraid they'll be playing a Belle & Sebastian record in its entirety and I just... can't... do that.
Why does the review say "capitol hill" when that is the Central District?
Oui. They lack power outlets for laptops at the moment (there's only one, at the bar) but I'm told more are coming...
Cold chicken, mayonnaise, and a watercress salad. It was lunch heaven. And Eric and Michael made a pretty sight.
what mark said. also in the house: staffers from machiavelli, a table of la spiga employees, and the always lovely nisha from fleurish.
definitely NOT the place to hit while on a walk of shame home the morning after. unless you're still drunk.
