Hm.. "Share this space and respect...others" -- slapped directly on top of another poster. Interesting.

uh, the date up at the corner on that poster says 2nd & 3rd, so courtesy says it's fair game, as today is the 6th (if that poster is for june, as I'm assuming).

Soon to be covered up by another poster, which makes sense because all that one is doing is taking up space.

No law against putting posters up, and no law against taking them down.

If you want to tear every poster off of every pole in the city, go ahead.

Carlos @4 - there's a difference between 'legal' and 'right'

There is, what I assuming, a homeless man who roams Wallingford and tears all the posters off poles and throws the paper in the gutter. Not a good place to advertise your lost cat or war protest.

Let's be honest, folks. Posters are old meme, a pretty outdated and easily silenced mode of reaching the general public. Tear down a poster and the advertising is gone.

Poster wars are like bickering over who gets to use the abacus to balance their checkbook.

Anyone that says postering doesn't do anything as a promotional tool is totally missing the point.

BTW, I saw these posters the other day and there's a date on the bottom stating 6/8. None of them I saw had covered up another poster that wasn't already outdated. Obviously they made efforts to respect the dates of other posters that were covered up and hope that others (e.g., Poster Giant) would do the same. However, I have a good source that told me they saw Poster Giant walking around Capitol Hill yesterday specifically tearing these down.

All this Jazz about posters and bullying and what not, makes me just want to cover all posters that are promotionals. Just put art up and cover anything else. I blame music fads for all the trouble. People put to much stock in music anyway.

stoopid musicians!
