Pony Up - The Pictures

posted by on June 28 at 15:22 PM

Pony opened last night! Welcome homo! I can’t even count how many times I heard someone say, “This is going to be the BEST summer ever.” I also heard more than one girl say, “There are so many hot guys here, I wish I was a boy.” This earlier post seemed to have some sort of debate about “fat hipster girls”. Hello stupid. Or girls being there at all. C’mon. Girls are welcome, and if you don’t get it—the dynamic between girls and their gay male friends, well, you should probably just stay home. That said, it was about 90 percent guys in there. Hot ones.

Dude, those are some serious gipsters (fipsters?), and all in one place!

When I was in college, this would have been heaven.

It almost looks like New York... No, not really, but it did remind me of New York.

I don't see any glitter, so it's not as New York as you think, Andy

Do those people dress like that everyday? Thanks for making me feel like a total dork...let me crawl back beneath the rock I live under.

seriously, this looks like a hipster fashion show. If I ever show up I want to be anally violated by many tom's of finland types and enjoy it.

Hey, Kelly, where are your pictures of that Hot Mama Victoria Liss?
For serious, I missed the whole party and get no respect? Kidding! I love the crap out of you, mine shutter bug! Shameless ploy for new myspace picture alert!
I love the pics!

I watched Hot Mama Victoria Liss go head-to-head with a scary crackhead at the door, with the skill and professionalism of a veteran NYC bouncer.... huzzah!

My boyfriend and I don't really do gay bars... St. Louis is pretty devoid of anything interesting as far as bars go, and I've never been the kind to go to gay bars.

However, I want to go to Pony. It makes me sad that I won't get to go to Pony. Sigh...

I thought you said the place was filled with hot guys...?

Posted by Andrew | June 29, 2007 3:33 PM

Kind of has the Tugs Belltown vibe of 25 yrs ago.

I just don't get the kids at all anymore. The decor looks cute, but the hairstyles and fashion statements scream Electroclash 2001.

Is that meth-mouth on the last one? ewwwww.

was in Seattle last weekend...the city really doesn't have many 'hot guys' to offer. I was quite disappointed.

Posted by Eric | June 30, 2007 3:43 PM

Doesn't anyone in Seattle shower? Those people were dirty. I thought you said there were hot guys there? I guess none of the hot ones would pose on camera.

Posted by Stenar | July 1, 2007 1:55 AM

where are the pics of the hot guys?

Posted by mark | July 1, 2007 12:46 PM

totally reminds me of what TUGS used to be. Also really reminds me of all of those East Village bars I used to haunt. Nice pics...but how about showing some of the dudes there that were OVER 30 years old. Chicken is nice honey, but nothing beats aged beef!

I see a lot of people asking where all the hot guys were. If your definition of hot guys is those retards who spend two hours a day at the gym and wear shit from Abercrombie-GAP-Nordstrom and are members of gay baseball leagues... you can find those losers who frankly can't fuck worth a damn up the street at R Place (Their Place), Broadway Grill or Julia's or anwhere else those meat heads congregate. I'm glad none of that sort bothered to check out pony, it would fucking blow chunks if it ended up being another lame ass fucking tacky steriotypical queer bar with 1,000 televisions playing cumfart techno videos like Manray. Thank Jesus' big black cock for pony!

gosh @ cameltoe why so bitter? I agree with you that Seattle can be a little sterile at times. But you're wrong if you think style can separate the men from the boys. Style doesn't make a person hot. A hot person is hot no matter what they wear! And whats wrong with going to the gym? A fit, in shape body feels better than a floppy, sloppy out of shape one any day! And whatever! is right. It's all a costume. The self aware, skinny jean, dirty canvas slip on, horizontal stripe, I tried for hours to look like I don't care, greazy hair, American Apparel boys care just as much about how they look as the A&F boys do. So don't kid yourself. Pony is hot, but it ain't new sweetheart! There have been bars like that packed with boys like that for decades! The kids who now fancy themselves too cool for school and oh so counter culture will be, in 5 or 6 years just as tired and as boring to look at as the A&F boys are now. Just shut your mouth and have a good time. And FYI. I spotted at least 4 dudes from the gay softball league at Pony...just thought you should know. God forbid you should be caught dead in a bar that any of them went to.

Posted by itsnotnew | July 4, 2007 6:08 PM

I'm with Roman. The bar was fun, but the boys in the pic are wearing crap that we were wearing in NYC like 6 years ago. Which is ironic because I will bet anything that these same boys were living for electroclash not too long ago.
Enjoy it while you can Cameltoe. Soon you will be just another tired old queen that some 22 year old will be making fun of too.

my what a friendly, charming, open minded, and interesting group we have here today. Everyone is so shiny and happy.

I just wish we could all hang out together, all the time.
