My gut reaction is that I'd vote for that but why does that make me uneasy?

Mr. Poe, Fnarf, you guys mind thinking for me for a moment? k, thanks.

Maybe while we the citizens are at it, we can do something about the Police Guild... such as limiting, SEVERLY limiting, their authority to ZERO input into citizen watch dog groups. The Guild’s “protecting ones own" stance is bullshit. It should be about time that organization stops protecting both bad cops and good cops under the guise of "they can do and did no wrong". The citizens should decide, through the watchdog groups, who the asshole cops and saintly cops are. Logic hold that some cops will be dirty and corrupt (Lord Acton's axiom in play) expect, curiously, in Seattle, where for the last few years, no cop seems to have done shit wrong. A light overview of internal investigations and the subsequent disciplinary proceedings would give the causal reader the impression that Seattle cops are saints who can and do no wrong.

A bad cop does not deserve a pension paid for through tax money... even if they were clean clean clean and fucked up only once, then they should have their retirement fucked over. They should have thought about there actions before abusing there policing authority.

So - they aren't already subject to annual council review? I find that somewhat odd.

I'm with you, monkey. Whatevs.

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, Guns of Brixton

But as the next best thing, civilian oversight would be nice, especially with the chief's inexcusable arrogance.

This from the guy who answered Sam Pailca's questions for her in a council "investigation" into OPA's slipshod practices? Why don't they simply install a stage and curtain in council chambers, it's all just theater after all.
