Did you catch the Season 1 & 2 cook off last week? Pretty cool and made me so excited for the new season!

I cannot wait...the cook off episode last week was great. Harold rocks. Stephen is still sooo cocky. Dave is still in need of medication. Harold's smackdown of Marcel was classic, and necessary.

And what the f*** was up with Ilan's hair. Was that the NYC skyline? The dude is such an idiot.

ilan really shit the bed last week, what with the hair and his bad duck dish. i sure wouldn't kick harold & sam outta the kitchen for making a mess, though.

I love cooking; eating; learning prep techniques; food history; cooking gadgets/tech... the list is LONG about why I love food and cooking.

What I don't love is Top Chef:
The only judge that I care about is the bald dude. The host lady is HORRRRRIBLE.
Boring reality TV drama. I don't care that you are the punk or the ego or whatever. I just want to see what you can cook.
They don't show enough cooking. I want to see kick ass chefs dominating their craft. I don't get that from this show at all.

Once you strip away the stuff I don't like the only remaining part is the concept.

Also Rachel Ray needs to fall off the planet.

Colichio is awesome.

Lakshmi is a droopy lidded junky who can't enunciate and she wore a fucking parka to the beach. They need to run her braindead ass of the show.

Sam was the dude last season but if you hate that annoying little Thundercat headed motherfucker then you're walking right into the rake.

Um. Why are you guys all jazzed about a show for chefs? The average restaurant doesn't even LAST two years!

It's a fun show. What can we say.

I think it's cool that they added Ted Allen as a host - I thought that was a one-off but the promos make it clear he's going to be in every episode. And they identified him as the author of some book, not the food and wine guy from Queer Eye. I guess that's not helpful on his resume any more.

And for those who hate Lakshmi, let me give you three words: Katie Lee Joel. 'nuf said.

I am all about Top Chef, but when the hell is Project Runway coming back?

Project Runway Season 4 starts in December.

I still haven't forgiven Top Chef for picking the wrong person last year. In the first season, Harold was obviously the best, and so it was perfect that he won. But last year? Ilan? Seriously? Sam should have won that shit. Hands down.

Hmmm, not sure I agree about Sam being the rightful the winner. I actually think Marcel should have gotten it. He outcooked everyone, imho.
