No Confidence

posted by on June 11 at 11:27 AM

Democrats in Congress are trying for a vote of no confidence in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales today. Sound like a good idea?

Republicans don’t think so, and even with the Democrats in control, it seems they’ll have enough votes to block this latest expression of dissatisfaction with our scandal-plagued attorney general.

Republicans... even though the boat of the administration is sinking, are still holding firm to the "don't rock the boat, if you know what is good for all of us" mentality. Many dems also think that is a good course (maybe thinking it will be a game of tit-for-tat when HRC is in the White House). Entrenched political elite know no party, only power.

why is it that even with a majority the dems can't do a fucking thing. i understand that a small group of repubs can block things, then why the fuck didnt a small group of dems do the same thing when it came to votes like the war, the patriot act, the supreme court? it seems like even with a minority, the repubs are still in power.

There must be Democrats that are not voting "No" on Alberto Gonzales.
