they left the worst looking part of the building.

i really have to question al queda's aesthetic judgement.

man, if that was my mosque I be hella pissed if it was blown up too.

All they need to do now is blow up every holy site in Iraq, and then it can be like a battle royale for all the Muslim factions. No need for a government then...just a battleground wasteland that they can fight over.

@3 - yeah, kind of like those "Mad Max" movies. Would Baghdad be better off if they just built a Thunderdome?

Posted by Hernandez | June 13, 2007 9:25 AM

Apparently, they don't like domes so much there.

Be clear, Eli. The dome was blown up last year, the minarets this year. You really confused me, showing me pictures of the Golden Mosque blown up. I was like, "Is Eli in a time warp or something? That mosque has already been destroyed."

Kinda lazy of al-Qaeda though. You'd think they'd blow up some intact mosques.

Gotta love that surge. I feel so much better knowing the forces of democracy are at work.

yay! we can bring the troops home now! the evil golden mosque is dead.

"Both Sunnis and Shia say the bombing was a U.S. plot to incite sectarian violence"

Who would benefit if the fighting stopped? Not American defense contractors. The American people may be hoping for peace, but those pulling the strings want endless war.
