Cherries don't go as well as fava beans do with liver and a nice Chianti. They make me gassy.
I love cherries soooooooo much. We had four cherry trees on the farm I grew up on and every year I would spend an hour or so barefoot in the dirt picking the best ones right off the trees. *sigh* I miss tree ripened fruit. Cherries were my favorite and plums came in a close second.
When I first saw that pic, I thought it was going to be a Charles post and was seriously worried what was to come.
Angela Garbes—better than cherries.
The only thing better than cherries is having a girlfriend who can tie a cherry stem into a knot with her tongue.
Annie- You know you can always call or email us in Customer Service at P.O. to get credit for an item if it's sub-par, right? It'll give us something to do on these long, slow afternoons (aside from reading Slog, of course).
starbucks should bring back the cherry canoe, a vaguely obscene pastry that was also the inspiration for my dj name. i still wouldn't drink their coffee but, damn, that cherry canoe was naughty.
I almost worked at Pioneer Organics. Decided to take a job at summer camp instead. Ahhh, irresponsible youth.
But I'm still a customer of theirs. Good stuff.
@6. Yes. Oh, but it's so nice when customer service comes to me! The fava beans are fine, I think. But if not, I'll email.
wasn't that low for Erica to try and one-up you? i hate that shit. here's the chilling recipe which prompted my crassness towards her, the cunt. her and Feit are into using Slog to talk trash, so very fuckin low- get back to student council, you dips.
Annie, it seems to me that basil is pretty abundant in the markets these days. While it may not be fresh basil directly from someone's garden, it's still usable for this purpose. Another possibility is to buy a basil plant and, instead of putting it in the ground, clipping off what you require when making the recipe. Hey, if you have enough basil left over (a few leaves) then set the rest of the plant in a window, water it and enjoy basil throughout the summer.
