Call me a spoilsport, but those hippies could use a washout. (Not to mention a wash.) Once upon a time it was a fun parade, but they're stuck in a cycle of endless repetition. -yawn-

They would probably look better.

It probably rained harder this morning than it's going to this weekend, and that's not saying much about this morning's rain.

Hey! Where's the link to the Vid of the Pyramid that's going on this year?

I know it's on YouTube ...

Should be ok for the Fremont Soltice Parade at Noon tomorrow ... sunscreen ...

Be nice to get all those giant blocks out of my garage ...

Does everyone know to "buzzzzzz" when the pyramid goes up?

Most of these people could use the free bath anyway.

@1 you mean like the Pride Parade?

@7, Not exactly. The Pride parade has pretty much always been boring. The Solstice parade grew into it.

Right. "hippies". A term that hasn't had any relevent application since, oh, 1978 or so.

They may share a few (mostly superficial) traits to their forebearers, but seriously, can't people come up with a better, more modern appelation? Call 'em "greeners", or, "neo-pagans" or whatever.

It's like calling the current batch of moonbatty right-wingers, "Birchers"; it's just as anachronistic, inaccurate and irrelevent to their role in our current social structure.

Thanks for pointing that out, Comte. I struggle with that ridiculous term as well.
