Why waste our time on Giuliani or the other Republican candidates?

We know that Lord Voldemort is going to steamroller all of them in the Republican primaries.

The South Carolina crack-dealing campaign manager was replaced by said crack dealer's racist father, so that's all tidied up.

Rudy is on the offical list of "People Who Will Never Be President."

Until Bush there wasn't a political figure I hated -- and yes, I mean hated -- more than Giuliani. Now they're neck-and-neck.

3, I hope you're right. But I've seen some pretty scary national politics in the past eight years or so.

I am afraid that "Rudy" could become president. The media has a way of ignoring the negative stories and building up people like him. That is how America's favorite vegetable, Reagan got in the White House. If enough rich people get behind a candidate the conservative dominated media will go right along.

People now have attention spans that can be measured in nano-seconds. Bush got re-elected despite many public problems, indictments, and an unpopular war.

I doubt the American public cares about this or any other scandal longer than 2 weeks. Let alone many GOP'ers that get their news from Faux exclusively.

I mean its not at all like the '88 election, where scandal mattered. (and only sex scandal, not, uh, selling weapons to an enemy nation to fund a proxy war...)

Wake me up in 2 years. I don't know if I can handle how this will play out.

And once again (I'll stop this as soon as someone presents a convincing argument that it is not newsworthy, or the news media decide to report it):

Rudy Giuliany told Peter Jennings in a live interview that he was told the WTC twin towers would collapse before they did. He now denies this foreknowledge. Giuliani's staff had freelance reporter Matt Lepacek removed and arrested from a recent post-GOP-debate press conference in order to avoid answering questions about his foreknowledge.

This is all available for your own listening and viewing. See the link above for details. Additionally, WNBC in New York reported a transcript of the Jennings Interview.
