Politics Decent Photos of Al Gore at Town Hall

onMy live-Slogging of Al Gore’s speech at Town Hall last night was marred by some viciously crapbadawful cell-phone pictures. Sorry about that—my phone died right before Gore started, and Frizzelle’s cell phone takes terrible pictures. But now we’ve got some lovely Brooke Kempner photos in…
For another POV on Gore’s speech, check out Dan Gonsiorowski’s write-up over at Seattlest, Postman’s piece in this morning’s Seattle Times, and some good live-blogging at Northwest Progressive.

Hey, is his whole speech up anywhere on line?
He doesn't look very presidential to me.
Is it just me, or does his face look all blotchy in the last pic of him signing books?
2, 3. I'm no Gore fan, but that's kinda nitpicking.
It could be the quality of the lighting or the camera.
Al has an old man's ass, or maybe he just needs a better haberdasher. I actually like Al. I was one of the majority of Americans who voted for him last presidential election. (Al, please do something about your butt).
By last election, I mean the one that GW stole from Al.
he's not wearing brown? MoDo told me that was the most important issue in 2000.
Thanks for the pics! that is my friend Jeremy in the last pic.
He looks... tired. I think he should stick to being Professor Gore; he's doing a lot of good as is, and there would be nothing sadder than a twice-beaten Al.
He seems to be losing weight ...
Wow, too many of these comments sadly illustrate Our Hero's complaint in "The Assault On Reason": image trumps substance. And how do these people rate Gore on his "presidentiality"?
Doesn't look presidential.
Splotchy face.
Bad butt.
Not wearing brown.
Tired looking.
Thinner.
So, those who've made comments like the above, who think the choosing of a president is equivalent to just another "the tribe has spoken" survival unreality show, who can't see past their own boobification, should maybe just go have a beer with Dubya the AntiChrist, remain in their own comfort zones, take a Mobius strip ride on the Spin Machine, and revel in the false appearance of "truthiness".
Meantime, I will continue to work for the draft and re-election of Al Gore next year. He is the Constitution's hero, democracy's hero, and the planet's hero, and is Gore-geous on every level. He is the best president we never had ... YET.
