Café Presse—the new place from the people of Le Pichet—is NOW OPEN on 12th just south of Madison. The simple French menu is so cheap, you can't afford to eat anywhere else. (Or drink: good French wines, $3.50/glass.) They have a big clock, a bar, a newsstand, house-made pastries, a skylight that's so clean it looks like it lacks glass altogether, a back room.
