I saw the commercial on the news last night. It looks like it came straight from the 80s.
When I see bullsh*t like that, I just want to retire from the graphic design field all together.
I want to use a nice leather glove to slap the face of the designer(s) who created that logo.
What exactly is Izzy supposed to be? He looks like a speedy blueberry.
That logo reminds me of the "I want a pop, I want a Shasta" jingle from the 80's. I also kinda think of Sheena Easton a little.
That logo is pretty craptastic.
Izzy IS the seizure that the logo causes.
That logo is so ugly it hurts. Not just the shapes, the colors and font are also terribly wrong.
It makes the Vancouver 2010 logo look like a masterpiece in comparison, and that received a lot of criticism at first too.
That logo looks like Maggie Simpson giving head.
Holy Jolt cola that logo make my eyes bleed.
Not sure if you mentioned that logo cost $800,000 to create.
I was just going to ask if you'd posted this already, then I remembered I saw this on BWE's blog yesterday. So that's why it's familiar. And yeah, stupid logo.
i had just assumed the logo was supposed to be all 80s and so bad it was good.
Want to have an epileptic seizure? Check out the poster for the 1968 Mexico City Summer Olympics. It still looks cooler than London 2012.

ok - the mexico 68 logo is WAY cooler than this London monstrosity
actually i like the logo, although it is very London "rightthisveryminutenu-rave80srevival", so not sure how well it will wear as a design between now and 2012. my guess is not so well, but still i think it's cool. too bad the olympics aren't tomorrow then.
Holy hell -- I LOVE this commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txXC6PwgEmc.
So cool. The logo just takes over. It infiltrates your Post-Its. It gets in your cell phone. It slides all over your cheap apartment. It even wears your soccer coach. Whoa! I'm excited about the Olympics now. Totally!
