I hope someone was there to kick those little techn-fascist's ass (LaRouchebags). They are constantly dowtown harassing people.
You guys look like nesting Russian dolls, just slightly out of order.

wtf?
Ooo la la--Wagner joins Barnett as another young hottie at the Stranger.
@#3: aka, the velvet rope.
frizelle, is that you on the end?
Is that Colby Underwood?
Strike a pose...
Glad Dan has finally stepped away from the dark side.
And Annie's always been that way.
Do you people who want Gore to run again have any plan for doing something about the way he's portrayed in the mainstream press? If you look at the press coverage of Gore for the last 8-10 years, it begins to seem incontrovertible that, as a group, the press corps has a personal, borderline-pathological hatred of Gore for whatever reason (on top of their generic laziness and incompetence at covering ANY issue, of course). For two solid years before the 2000 election they framed one fake story after another around negative Gore-scripts -- he's a liar ("invented the internet", farm chores, Love Story, etc.), he would do/say anything to get elected ("earth tones"), he's boring, he's a know-it-all ("sighing" during the debates), etc., etc., etc. And since 2000, any speech or other public appearance he makes (including An Inconvenient Truth, or the new book), they have completely ignored it on its merits and framed it as groundwork for another presidential run, launching more rounds of vicious attacks as a pre-emptive strike against his possibly accruing any credibility as a result. (For example, here's Friend of Slog Andrew Sullivan in 2002: "His comments on the war do not surprise me....They just show that he is a pure opportunist, with no consistency in his political views on foreign or domestic policy. He’ll say whatever he thinks will get him power or attention or votes....Gore is happy to see Saddam stay in place.") Even the Gore fans at the Stranger put out benign versions of some of the same spins -- like Dan's comments about Gore's weight in the earlier post. Are there any grounds for thinking that this won't start all over again, if he runs? Or that (entirely aside from his merits as a candidate) he would be electable if it did?
Dan's got a big package!
Dude DOES gotta run. Every time he doesn't I get my heart broken all over again. He would so win, and he's sooooo much better than Clinton, Obama, and all those other douche bags.
Dude's GOTTA run! He invented the internet!
...
Also, yeah, I've gotta reserve a seat on the 'Annie Wagner is cute' bandwagon.
@9 - Dude, paragraphs.
They're what's in.
Use them.
Has anybody ever seen Annie Wagner and Liz Phair in the same place at the same time? Very suspicious...
Dude should definitely NOT run. Would he have been on the Inconvenient Truth bandwagon if he actually had been elected? Doubtful. Like Carter, he's finding he can actually do more and influence people and policy more effectively not in office than when he's hamstrung by every single little thing he'd say, think or do as pres. Given how our political system works these days, he'd be no more effective as pres than Obama. But he's much more influential now when he's free to pursue whatever he wants. C'mon people, isn't that clear enough by now, stop begging the man to run!
Annie Wagner must be even smaller than I am - Dow Constantine's not exactly a big fella, and I'm a couple inches shorter than he is - but Annie barely comes up to his chin! Either that, or the picture's perspective is odd.
I'm 5'4''. It's the lens.
I figured that was probably the case, as I'm 5'2" and only a couple inches shorter than Dow - to be as much smaller than Dow as that picture makes it appear, you'd be about 4'10".
