I've got several calls out to confirm this with the folks from the 32nd, but last Friday, June 15, they reportedly endorsed Thom McCann in the crowded Port Commissioner race. (This is the race for incumbent Bob Edwards seat, also starring solid Democrat Gael Tarleton and long shoreman and Burien City Council Democrat Jack Block, Jr.) Endorsing McCann would be a weird move given that McCann's not a Democrat. I would describe myself as a solid democrat with generally progressive values who is too busy to attend every single activist meeting on the calendar. However, if you want me to attend, then run a good meeting. I will never go back to the 32nd democrats. Weird internal turf wars among bitter middle-aged women. Not productive and not for me.
