Most of the vignettes look terrible. The poor guys look terrified and befuddled afterwards. How would any of us react if suddenly a large group of people started charging directly toward us? Not funny at all.

Honestly? I'd probably laugh my ass off and be mad I hadn't thought of it first. The one where they picked the guy up may have been more than a little nerve-wracking, but a big pack of random people chasing me down an alley?

Awesome.

Hilarious.

Oh jeez. What a thing to say? Did you ever watch Candid Camera? I'm sure they tell the "victim" afterwards what just happened.

I think this freaking hilarious. This is the kind of thing that makes me wish I were Japanese..... Crazy Japanese!

I'm with Cameron. Once I got over the shock, I'd start killing them. Self defense, you know.

The Japanese will always think of it first.

And if you think that is funny, here is some more Japanese comedy gold:

Total genius, although I'm surprised they picked that one guy up. Seems there would be liability there.

Callie: You can get away with a lot legally in Japan. Public groping, sexual harassment, firing people or refusing service for being black or Korean, etc.

Jamier, Public grouping and sexual harassment are not legal in Japan. You can be refused service if you are not a japanese citizen, but if you are it is not legal to refuse service no matter what ethnicity.

That's hilarious. But my American control-insurance-mind says they're gonna give someone a coronary.

Seriously, this is the sort of mentality that develops when your city is repeatedly attacked by a 700 foot-tall radioactive dinosaur that shoots poison gas out its mouth, so what do you expect?

I'm in the "Why didn't I think of this first?" category. The japanese just love doing things in big groups.
Including have sex:

I miss Shinjuku, Ropongi, and Yoyogi.
Tokyo rocks. I worked as a doorman at a couple nightclubs one was wild west. There were Yakuza wannabes and gonnabes allover the place. They looked like suited up Emos. It was funny. They all look like right out of the manga and animation sagas we see. We artists base comics of of the life around us. They took it a step further and made life jump out of the comics.
I had a Yakuza boss go right past me one night and as I was bowing and saying 'Satcho Kombawa'( good evening, Big Boss) his giant body guard handed me 100 dollars. No one in the states tips doormen for just being there like that except in vegas or maybe Hollyweird.
I'm just saying it was a hell of a place and the times were full of adventure in my life.
I lived from the underworld side of things at that time and seen Japan from a different perspective that few travelers know exists outside of T.v. shows and Japanese Tea Guardens.
Now next I'm sure all you Yakuza haters will line up and tell me how dare I have worked at a place that had women escorts and gangsters and businessmen with no scruples.
I just want to say I had a great time and the people were great. shame on me I guess. In my next life I want to be
Japanese. so what I know i know. I liked it is that wrong?

This is a good clip that fits nicely with the Stranger's taxi olympics.
