Tape of Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes Beating Surfacing?

posted by on May 24 at 17:11 PM

Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes
claims that on April 12th, 2005 SPD officers brutally beat him in front of Capitol Hill club The War Room, after a dispute over littering got out of hand. News on Alley-Barnes’ case has been quiet for awhile, due to a gag order in federal court, but it appears there is video of the incident. We’ve sent in a request to SPD for the tape and we’ll post it up if/when we get it.

Throwing your detrius on the public commons is an affront to us all and I'll sock you in yer purdy mouf if I see you do it. At least the police will ask you to make amends and clean up the mess you made before they get squirrely. I don't have the patience. Give a hoot, before I knock yer block off!

Seriously these are the comments this blog post gets? This man was beaten by the Seattle Police after his friend tossed a cig butt into the street. I witnessed the beating, please, you are making light of racism, abuse of power and suffering.

Chill out, it's a SLOG post and if you're expecting everything to be serious and respectful you might want to go somewhere else... I think the majority of the folks reading this page understand that racism, abuse of power, and suffering suck. That's why we feel OK making light of them.

Without reading further up the page, I'm guessing the answer you got from the racist junta was NO.
