Uhm ... so fountain plus people plus house music equals what?
The scene at the fountain last year was a lot better than anything that happened at Volunteer Park after a parade in the last 15 years. It gave folks something to do after the parade, folks interacted, danced, had fun, and talked, laughed, and danced.
Being at the fountain was better than having to listen to horrible speeches from that ugly brick stage in Volunteer Park again. It was better than having to watch the played-out Sister of Perpetual Annoyance stumble through their lame schtick for the millionth time. It was better than watching some drag queen "mom" lip synch some lame tune. It actually felt like a community coming together and celebrating.
The fountain last year was a blessed scene. Shame it won't happen this year.
