So when is the campaign kickoff party? I want to know, so I can see if they give away free booze and hor'deurves, then make my decision accordingly.

Nobody personifies the phrase 'loser' quite like Al Runte.

I guess we'll once again start seeing Al trying to scare up votes at DrinkingLiberally in Montlake.

I'm trying to suppress my excitement at the prospect.

I have faith that Al can lose more convincingly in his second run than in his first.

Oh UW. Why didn't you give Al tenure and spared us of this?

What I really care about - WHO THE HELL is planning a run against Nickels on his next go-around?
Peter Peter Pipe Dream Weaver Steinbrueck does not count.

If Peter doesn't count, the answer is "nobody."

So what if Al fell short in 2005. He's written 5 books, consulted with Ken Burns for a documentary on national parks, and holds a phD. Maybe you guys should become passionate about preserving our environment, getting an education, or at least learning how to write. Critique Al after mastering those preliminary steps. Until then your the real losers.
