Fuck MySpace. And fuck Obama's unwanted MySpace boob, "Joe". MySpace people are twits who shouldn't even be allowed to vote -- and most of them aren't, they're fourteen years old. Obama should tell these marketing dweebs to take a hike, and attempt to carry on his campaign as a grownup.

ah, yes, Politico. The new Drudge Report. Could you source this story to somewhere other than a republican founded and funded propaganda site?

Still don't get it. What is the shorthand version of what happened here? Did Obama take Hilary out of his top 8 or something?

Some guy started up Obama's MySpace page, without authorization, just like happened to a hundred bands and celebrities before him (90% of all pro athlete MySpaces are frauds, too). He wasn't exactly a fraud, but he wasn't working for the campaign. The campaign got wind of it, decided "ooh, I read somewhere that this interwebs thingie is the wave of the fyoocher" and tried to move in on the guy, clumsily. No one would care, except that "Obama" has 160,000 friends, and the netroots pundits think those 160,000 MySpace users are an enormously valuable resource, so they've started to fight over them. Dustup ensues, blogger feelings are hurt, world comes to an end, film at eleven.

Obama's better off courting grownups with checkbooks, in my opinion.

Thanks Fnarf, got it.

My ex-girlfriend started a Myspace profile for the Raspberries years ago, then forgot the password and now feels really bad. Glad Obama's people weren't working for them.

They should've just hired the guy.
