Lets be clear, at this point over 50% of the country will not call you ungracious if you point out what a jackass he was. So kick away.

Does someone have a copy of the Hustler cartoon? Because that would be lovely.

This has got to be bad news for McDonalds, Crispy Creme, and the gravy industry in general... good riddence to that fat f-cking bastard! Anything that makes hate mongers cry brings joy to my heart. It wil be hilarious over the next few days as the religious right demonizes all the secularists, gays, atheists, etc. for dancing on his grave. As if only silent reverence for the man from all those he hated is appropriate. I can't help but think he got off easy, though. He never really reaped the harvest of hate he sowed (sewed?)

I would spit on his grave, but that would require traveling to Lynchburg - a town named after its citizens’ favorite past-time.

Untimely? As in it took way too much time?

Exactly what I meant, Sniggles.

Dan, I couldn't help but read that transcript between those two and think, "Mr. Robertson, God will see YOU now..."

Hopefully it won't be as bad like when Reagan died, and there was only praise to be heard everywhere.

Now if only Robertson will follow suit.

In addition to being a bigot and general fuckhead, Falwell also bilked his OWN CONGREGATION out of thousands of dollars. As the Brits say, Good Riddance to bad rubbish.

I'm convinced the fat bastard broke my windshield this morning. I'm driving to work, minding my own business, nobody anywhere near me in front...and out of nowhere, some big blob goes WHAM! and busts the shit out of the windshield right in front of my face. It's right about the time he kicked, too. I figure he was on his way down, and fast.

Jerry Falwell owes me a windshield.

Wooooooooo!!! If it's the end times and he was just raptured up to heaven with White Jesus, I can't wait 'til all the other bastards get up there with him.

When Regan died, I shrugged. Same with Nixon.

When I heard Falwell had died on the radio in my car this morning I let out a cheer loud enough that people in the car next to me at a stop light looked over at me. I just grinned at them stupidly.

I'm sure this makes me a bad person somehow. Yet the grin is still plastered to my face hours later. I'm glad the corpulent fucker is dead.

If I'm ever in Virginia, I'd happily visit his cemetery just for the chance to dance on his grave.

Jerry: Good riddance, you hateful turd.

Obviously he didn't worry too much about the sin of gluttony.

I got so happy when I heard about it that I couldn't keep my mind on my work. I'll gladly stay late to make up the loss in productivity. If I believed in God, I'd stop at the church, light a candle, and offer a prayer of thanks. I never really liked Virginia, but I wouldn't mind a road trip to piss on his grave.

Jesus allegedly said that it is as unlikely for a rich to go to heavens as it is for a camel to go through a pin-hole.
It's in these moments I wish he existed.

As a Canadian citizen, I'm tempted to say "Congratutlations, neighbours, on the demise of the viper in your cellar", but I should park my smugness because we do have some disgusting vermin on this side of the border as well. Anyway, let me read into the record that the world at large is a better place for the departure of one flaming hate-monger who wasn't just a blight on the North American continent, he was an insult to all mammals.

Untimely? More like long overdue. Now if only God would arrange to have Phelps flattened by a freight train or something.

I am from Lynchburg, and I didn't agree with Jerry Falwell on many things, though I would never...EVER say such things as you people have.

I also don't think it's right for you people to bash our city if you have never been here. There was never anything to do here in lynchburg, no shops, anything. Jerry helped build this town, point blank.

He didn't say he hated gays, he hated their sins. You people are morbid and disgusting saying you would "spit" on his grave, burn in hell, etc. That man had a family, and they were all wonderful people.

It disguts me to see how this world is going to shits, because of you people not agreeing with one man. ONE MAN. If you dont like what he said or did....do as i did, and let it go.

It fascinates me how full of hate some people can be. I have gay friends, whom i adore dearly. I don't believe in what they are doing though.

You people make me ill....I honestly feel sorry for you all.
