Yeah, like the front man for that racist junta we call the SPD is going to voluntarily resign when he has the unquestioned support of the city.

Is this the same Officer Neubert that was involved with the shooting of Aaron Roberts in 2001?

That being the case, I'm going to go ahead and assume that the African-American guy is telling the truth.

And Tietjen is a notorious liar and asshole. The number of times he's blatantly lied on the witness stand to get a conviction must go into the thousands. Many times his lies have been obvious, but our system treats it as a "credibility" issue for the jury when cops get caught lieing in court, rather than the perjury issue it is.

This is the same Rasmussen who's answer to the whole Pride problem was: sure, two parades sounds like a swell plan? That Tom Rasmussen?

Pardon my lack of enthusiasm.

whoa--calm down, hyperlinker--the question was whether they'd carry the story that the forensics expert said the accounts don't match--not whether they ever wrote about the case. they did cover the new developments. thanks for posting the links.

@16: That wasn't intended to be an answer to any question, just the sharing of resources that were not provided in the post and are likely to be useful to someone who seeks more information on the subject.

The inclusion of links in multiple comments was a result of Slog's unfortunate maximum-of-two-links-per-comment policy.
