Miranda July, Now with Video!

posted by on May 21 at 14:37 PM

If you missed it, here’s some video. There’s talk of stabbing pillows in the front lawn with a big pointy knife. Who knew Miranda was such a toughie!

okay love to see video fo this but what the fuck is up with the cameras...if you're trying to be "artistic" in your shots, its actually sickening to stare at...

AGREED! I just LOVE a static camera pointed in one direction for 5 minutes. Nothing better than that.

I like 'artsy' shots most of the time. Aren't they employed when the audio isn't stimulating enough? I say 'go all the way dude' next time and film it upside down or shaky like the Blair Witch movie.

@3- yeah i think it already has a blair witch effect, minus the nose dripping scared confession of a person from the shot.

the audio is fantastic but what's the use of video if it's going to be moving back and forth at an ungodly sickening pace?

also, if it was filmed upside down i probably would enjoy that. but it wasn't sadly. hopefully for next time?

Pretty sure this was shot with multiple cameras, in very low light with no spotlights or flash allowed.

Chill bitches.

Crappy footage aside, Miranda July is a treasure for the poor to find.

duh on the multiple cameras...it was clear when it was cutting back and forth to the one that was on a tripod and the other obviously being held by someone's shaking hands.

i've filmed there before wish shitty lighting, but i could still see things i'd be pointing at by either changing the settings on the camera (not just the LCD screen!) and then editing (not just putting clips together) does wonders as well.
