I'm getting kind of bored with the "Kick him while he's definitely not getting up" approach to Falwell's demise. Like any fanatic, his death is not the end of his bluster and vitriol, and soon we'll have plenty of people marching in his stead. Anne Coulter has already disgorged a sputum-dripping eulogy that characterizes Falwell's 9/11 blame quote as too liberal. Let's let Fred Phelps fuel the hate machine against this guy. Shouldn't we be busy trying to pass judgement on living knuckleheads like Gonzalez and Cheney and GWB?
