Politics Disaster? Blame a Democratic Governor!

onThat appears to be Bush’s M.O. once again, as Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is discovering.
In the wake of the tornado that destroyed the town of Greensburg, Kansas, Sebelius noted that most of Kansas’ National Guard equipment has been sent to Iraq, slowing the pace of recovery.
In a spat reminiscent of White House finger-pointing at Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco after the federal government’s botched response to Hurricane Katrina, Snow rapped Sebelius for not following procedure to find gaps and then asking the federal government to fill them.“If you don’t request it, you’re not going to get it,” he said.
Except, as the Carpetbagger Report notes, that’s not what happened.
As it turns out, Sebelius spent a year and a half “requesting” the replacement supplies and National Guard troops that have been redeployed from Kansas to Iraq, including trucks, Humvees and helicopters.
Sound familiar?

Bush needs to be held accountable for his war crimes against the United States, namely depleting the National Guard from doing their real job, helping victims and communities ravaged by natural disasters.
Please do not compare Gov. Sebelius to Gov. Blanco, Kansas to Louisiana. Sebelius is a great governor in a functional state (despite views of former ed. board officials and various redness). Blanco never had a grip on a largely dysfunctional state, let's not pretend otherwise.
It just keeps happening so much it's not even interesting anymore, just tiring.
However, sadly, because he's controlling the mainstream message, the Governor's words will go ignored and his words will be taken as gospel on the matter, and it'll take a year of constant squwaking before the nation finally realizes what really happened... if they find out.
I don't understand why everyone is so shocked. These are the people (repubs)who wanted to stop funding government to starve it down to a much smaller size, what did the people who voted for them think that meant? Hopefully they can rebuild with thier tax returns. Kansas being such a red state I have no sympathy. Sorry, but glad it didn't happen to a blue state.
how much longer 'til it's really over?
Why do the Red Bushies hate America so?
Kansas is a pretty big Republican voting pool. Are they really so foolish as to do or say anything other than bending over backwards to rebuild or are they just that stupi... oh wait... I just remembered who we were talking about.
Please... is anyone actually paying any attention at all to what the chimp in chief is saying any more? At this point, I assume that anything that comes out of his mouth is a lie, denial, obfuscation, or at best a misleading half-truth. He could say the sun rose this morning, and I wouldn't believe it without independent verification.
Why does the wind hate the United States?
Toto, because of global warming and our love of greenhouse gases!
@10, are you saying Bush is a gasbag? LOL
