Wow, I've never seen a real attempted rape before. That was sickening.

Shit like this makes me feel bad to be male. If 1 out of 3 women are raped in their lifetime, can't we just rape 1 out of 3 men?

That was truly horrible to watch. What if she didn't have that freakin' pen?

Something tells me this isn't the first time he's done this either.

Jorgamund: I'd prefer it if men stop raping the 1 out of 3 women, but your plan works too

the trick would be to rape the right 1 out of 3 men.

I preface my comments by noting for the record that I have not and will not watch the video clip. Watching crimes like the one described as well as watching people physically hurt themselves makes me have a visceral reaction that I cannot explain. Which leads me to my comment, which comes in the form of a rhetorical question:

Do people really need to see this sort of thing, just because they can?

#9, I know what you mean, but for some reason, I'm not offended by this. I sometimes get a strange feeling that some men deep down don't 'get' the concept of sexual assault and how horrible it is. Sometimes having a literal picture shown can help in the understanding.

I'm with #9. Videos like this and television shows like COPS, Faces of Death, Disasters Caught on Tape, and basically all reality TV is why I stopped watching TV in the first place. Except for Jon Stewart.

I'm with #11 & 12. Selective viewing of videos like these can help those who just don't get it. It's the repeated viewing -- looping the video over and over on those goddamn 24-hour news channels -- that makes it completely sickening.
