I don't believe there will be consequences beyond a bad write-up in the History books, which I don't think the Leader cares much about. I think Ellis summed up the consequences best:

"Bad President. No blowjob."

Just a little plug for the queen of funny liberal talk. Stephanie Miller is on MSNBC from 3 am until 6 am Monday Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. MSNBC is trying out some wacky left wing humor so anyone in Seattle who has not tried her out. Try her out! Not massive substance but funny and Hard Left!

Someone made the thoughtful observance this weekend of a missing Slog feature. So here to provide you with- Superhero Fun Fact for the Day- back from a Dead show circa 1971- Larry 'spud' Sparks!

'What he said? Who he? He with the big head?'

Dan thanks for the link. I'm glad I took the blind link.

Just Me - sorry but I think she is the biggest waste of time - yes even more than the slog - if I wanted to undermine a left, progressive, or even liberal movement, I would put her on the air representing those points of view - fart jokes and endless talk about her giant dogs and Coulter's Adam's apple. I tried to support 1090, but after the election I just couldn't stand her morning show.

5

@ Kush, Better her than someone like Mike Savage or Ann Coulter. She maybe a wack job but she is a liberal wack job.

6

JM - right that's what I was suggesting - listen to Savage and Coulter - I'm glad the right has those whack jobs but lesser WJs like Limbaugh and Hannity seem to able to reach more middle of the roaders, where the action happens - just to be clear I find them to be disgusting - what I would like is left/progressives that moderates could listen to without being subjected to below keystone cop level humor. It does seem that the vast majority of l/p broadcasters are primarily comedians, why is that?

7

Because Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Liar!

Forgive me for remaining skeptical, but every time there is a 'regime change' in Congress, the new leaders expose the old leaders' scandals. I don't trust any of them on that front.

What is most encouraging to me is the grassroots level of exposure that is occuring. Corruption used to be much easier to hide, but the fact that just about everyone has a cell phone camera and blog means that you can't expect to keep your dirty laundry hidden any longer. I hope that's going to mean only good things for this nation.

It would be nice if leaders did the right thing just because it's the right thing, but if they have to be roped into it by the knowledge that they are being watched more closely than ever before, then so be it.

Too little, too late. Dems simply represent a less batshit insane section of the ruling class. Oh, well.

Fuck it. I don't even want to stick around to see y'all find this out.

Thank god, you've finally found Greenwald. With any luck more of your links will go his way, fewer will go to Sullivan, and the world will be a better place.

I can't remember his blog site, but an old friend of mine, a Carnegie art docent in Pittsbugh, quoted much Greenwald last year. Apparently Greenwald and another blogger were having popular internet 'heated' Hegelian debate down the NY/DC corridor.

The aforementioned site is really great- school reform via new advances in media screen junior high education. Lots of .0s, Linux, beyond Linux data that I can't quite fathom. He does have a cool line for his blog's subheading from Leo Cohen's "Bird on a Wire."
