I think I'm going to name my firstborn son "Fennec".
Fennec Fox = a cross between a chihuahua and a rabbit.
My neighbors in Belltown had a Fennec Fox. It was the most adorable creature in the world. Now if it was legal, I am not certain.
Its a desert fox. The large ears are for both cooling and extra hearing as the desert is so dry there is no lingering odor. Their prey are hunted by sound. They live in the northern reaches of the Sahara from Morocco to Egypt. High on my pers. list for re-incarnation (as is a Rainier Cherry and a river otter).
Ooh, thanks for the fox. My blood pressure just plummeted; I needed that.
I don't know about Washington, but they appear to be legal in California and other states. They cost about $1000 and at full size they are about as big as a 1 year old cat. (I was bored so I looked this stuff up at the internet). They seem to be easy to leash train and will use a litter box.
