What is it with you and finding grassy things on the sidewalk?

Charles, you're my favorite flaneur. Merci.

The fencing came off the project at 14th and Union yesterday - the wrecking ball can't be far behind. RIP Four Angels cafe (and its earlier/later incarnations) and the Junk Shop. Hello next upscale monstrosity to invade Squire Park.......

I don't think you can be a flaneur in the 21st century. It's like how you can't be a hippy in the 21st century either. Hippies, flaneurs--they had a specific era, which is over. That's not to say that the habits or behaviors don't still exist, but you just can't actually BE a flaneur, cause you aren't in Paris, it's not 18-something or other, etc., etc.

Just my opinion.

From Wikipedia: "A flâneur is...a person who walks the city in order to experience it."
Sounds like a nice thing to be.

While I was walking to work this morning I saw you, Charles Mudede, walking up Yesler.
You might have thought I was staring at you, and I was, but I was just trying to see if it was you.
If you were not walking up Yesler this morning, you have a double somewhere in the city.
