Well better for him than someone who doesn't know all the lies and why they are told and the important facts that
always point to the truth behind those lies. What better truth than a soldier behind the lines.
Usually with so many lives at stake and their responsibility for those lives makes these guys more apt to know what the hell is going on behind closed doors. This guy is probably risking a lot for doing this.
They are soldiers not civilians.
The president is a civilian, sort of.. at least he's supposed to be.

In my local supermarket yesterday I tried to buy a loaf of sandwich bread that didn't have either wheat gluten or HFCS in it. I couldn't find any. Hamburger buns, ditto. The baguettes were OK, but I didn't want a baguette. Pissed me off just a little.
The burning freeway scenario here is pretty unlikely, as we don't have any steel freeways with one deck crossing over another. Our freeways are all or mostly concrete. Lots of things COULD happen here, but intelligent risk management isn't about infinite possibilities but about likelihood versus cost. Otherwise no one would ever leave their bunker.
@4 gets it correctly - the East Channel bridge does not pass over any roads, except HIGH above little park-access drives. Not likely to have big tankers go off. Maybe our Nazi Heimatschutz masters can close these little roads.

So George Tenet is trying NOW to clean the blood off his hands? Where was his outrage a few years ago.
This is an attempt for him to cash in on Bush's unpopularity and I think he is sick for doing it.
