Tattoo Times

Should I cover up my Tweety? Tweety Bird with Accidental Mohawk? My one and only tattoo? The one I got in high school, with a homemade gun, from that weird kid who huffed the rubber cement in Mr. Reimann’s art class?

The place to do it would be the 28th Annual National Tattoo Convention. Down in SeaTac. Runs tonight until 11 pm, and Sunday 10 am - 10 pm. There’s hundreds of tattoo artists from all over the world scheduled, including Japan. Something tells me they all have real tattoo guns too.

I love my "bad" tattoos as much as I love my "good" ones.

If you cover it up, you can have both good art and two good stories as opposed to just the good story. "What a fantastic water lily!" Why yes, I had it done to cover an older one that was done when I was but a foolish child."

I vote cover it. Or at the very least, color it in. That said, for a homemade tattoo, that's not bad.

OK, I have to ask: is Tweety looking down towards a "puddy-tat"?

(Which would be a painful tat, so perhaps it's a more euphamistic/metaphorical pu... oh, I'll just stop here).

Keep it. High school memories (and their physical consquences) are very, very hard to erase.
