Looks like Peter Steinbrueck's campaign for mayor just blew a tire. Three more to go!

Pssst, Peter. If it's not broken, then don't fix it.

Also, does this mean any Christian asshole can shut down a club by opening a daycare center next door?

we should be just like Portland. but we're just like Cincinnati. no fun.

looking as strippers must be done stone cold sober, under flourescent lights, & filled with liberal guilt.

Peter, why do you give a fuck? can you point to any REAL harm that has been done by the proximity of a strip club to a daycare center?

Um, would it be cynical to guess that this move is intended to allow him to woo votes from both anti-regulationists ("I abhorred the Mayor's proposal!"), and bluenoses ("I kept these dens of iniquity away from our precious children!")?

While we're at it, let's get buddy booths and locking doors on the booths in porn arcades. And stop worry about the one per person booth rule. Lighten up, Seattle!

How about a law that would limit schools, parks, day cares, and community centers from opening 800 feet from strip clubs?
